Rag Dolls

Rag Doll Created by me.

pattipatchdoll.jpg

This is my first rag doll. I call her Miss Patti Patch. She is 17". She is handstitched. The clothing is a mix of machine and handstitching. The lips, eyebrows and eyelashed are hand embroidered. She has button eyes and a heart shaped button nose. She is made from Broadcloth that has been dyed with a mixture of tea/cinnamon/vanilla.

Patti is named after my friend Patti. Her love for anything country and primitive inspired me to create this doll. I plan to make a series of dolls to go along with Patti. I even hope to make a pet or her. I have a whole story lined up for Patti. So keep watching for more of Patti and her friends.

This Amelia. She is 12". Her dress is grubby looking but intended to be so. I stained it with tea. She holds a handstitched star made from wool felt. Her wings are snapped onto her dress so they can be removed for washing if needed. Isn't she just adorable.

This is Emma. She is 14". She is colored with a mixed of black paint and tea.Her dress is made from homespun. Her hair is handstitched on her head.

Dolls are either handstitched or machine stiched. Clothing is a mix of machine and handstitchiing. The hair is either glued or handstitched, it just depends on the doll.
