Try these fudge brownies. They were served at a local resort restraunt with hot fudge sauce & ice cream. Could not keep them.

Fudge Brownies
1c.sugar;
1/2c. melted butter;
2 squares bitter chocolate, melted;
1/2c. flour;
2 eggs;
1c. pecans, chopped;
pinch of salt;
1t.vanilla.

Method:
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until mixed together well. Pour the batter into shallow 11/2quart baking pan and place in a cold oven. Set oven at 450 for 5 minutes, then set back to 300.(timing is important). Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until fairly firm. Do not overcook. Cut into squares when almost cool. Top with ice cream, fudge sauce & sprinkle pecans over all.

Note*
They are baked in a cold to start oven. Do not preheat. Trust me. It works.
